Shannon Robertson came 3rd in the Welsh under-17s Indoor Pentathlon Championships last weekend.
Shannon is a good example of work being done with the South West Talent group.
This was an especially good result as the crafty Taffs closed the under-15s competition to non Welsh people, so Shannon had to compete above her own age group.
A small report from her Mum ias as follows:
"Shannon made a new personal best score of 2660, an increase of over 300 points. It was a good experience for her as the indoor is slightly different - hurdles are only 60m (rather than 75), and the 800m is 4 times around a banked track.
She is definitely feeling good. No sign at all of her old injury and she really feels like she is getting a lot from the Wednesday sessions so thanks to you and your team for that."
We will now be addressing some specific aspects of competition preparation and look at more development over then next 3-4 years.
Well done Shannon and her Mum.
